Skirting King is a Skirting, Architrave and Window Board manufacturer based in the Midlands. Since our inception in 2009, we have become one of the leading independent manufacturers in the UK. We have continued to invest heavily in our production capabilities and offer our valued customers an unrivalled level of customer service. With over sixty profiles to choose from, and a range of finishes available, Skirting King are sure to have a profile solution for you.
Over the last 10 years we have substantially developed our manufacturing capabilities. We have hired a dedicated production team, headed by our Production Manager David Williams. Unlike many of our competitors, we make everything to order, meaning that our customers have complete flexibility, at the best price!
We continue to develop our offering with new profiles, materials, machines, and skilled staff. Ensuring that we are at the forefront of the market, all the time.
About the Skirting King
Our King oversees all of our sales and back office team. With over 15 years’ experience in the mouldings business, there isn’t much he hasn’t seen. John has been with the business since we started and has seen the team grow from 3 members of staff, to the 14 strong team that we have today.
Timeline
2009
Started manufacturing a small range of mouldings, using a selection of rudimental machines. We gradually built a broad range of residential and commercial customers across the UK
2012
After four years of strong growth, we relocated to a bigger premises in Worcestershire. This extra space allowed us to invest in our automated paint line, meaning that we no longer had to paint and finish the boards by hand
2015
Added twenty new profiles, offering one of the largest selections of profiles online. We also hired more staff, both in production and back office
2018
Invested in high tech machinery in our cutting and finishing departments, this allowed us to drastically improve the quality of our products. Also introduced our 1 – 2-day express delivery option
2020
We undertook a complete website re-design, creating the use friendly interface that you see today. Our main aim was to create a simple website that is easy to navigate, with competitive prices
2021
Invested heavily in machine software, allowing us to cut, paint and dispatch large orders quicker than ever. Hired or Head of Production David, his focus is to streamline our production process.
2023
We continue to focus on developing our manufacturing capabilities and continually improving and refining our products. We have manufactured our 1,000,000th board.
